Day 2 & 3

I had a big test for class today so I didn't get a chance to blog yesterday. Here are my updates :)

Day 2
I woke up late for my last day of practicum, so I grabbed a Larabar and headed out the door. When I finished, I went to my parents house and had a pancake w/ flax seed and cinnamon. Then I came home, ate half an avocado, and then went back to their house to eat some chicken soup for dinner! Yummy. For my workouts yesterday, all I did was the Lean Legs Pyramid workout from the Tone It Up ladies.

Day 3 - Today! :)


Today was a much more productive day for me because I didn't have practicum in the morning. I woke up and did level 3 of the Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred DVD, then ate some quinoa w/ almonds and cinnamon again. For lunch, I had chicken soup, and then for a snack I had a Larabar. For dinner I had grilled tilapia with lemon juice, half an avocado, and almonds. Can you tell I NEED to go grocery shopping? I really, really do. I guess this could also be a "pantry challenge". I had a test tonight and didn't get home until about an hour ago, so I will not be working out tonight. I hope that's not an excuse.... but it probably is. I'm simply exhausted. But, I plan on doing my booty CALL workout tomorrow morning and eating right :)

Day 1 - Food & Fitness Diary

So I really kicked off this workout week last night, when I did the Tone It Up Beach Babe workout. I actually wanted to keep working out because these girls are SO encouraging, but I knew it was late and I had to go to bed. So this morning I woke up and did my BOOTY CALL workout: I walked and ran in the neighborhood for a good 30 minutes.

I came home and my breakfast/brunch (I woke up late) was my Meta-D drink and some Quinoa with cinnamon, slivered almonds, and all natural maple syrup:

It may not look outstanding, but trust me, it was GOOD and filling.
My second meal was an idea I got from Tenley Molzahn:
It is Portabello Mushroom Pizza- a nice, healthier version of pizza because it doesn't use pizza- it uses a portabello mushroom! For the recipe, go here:

For dinner, I had grilled chicken and half an avocado. Yummy!

I didn't follow the diet today like I should have because I woke up late and also haven't gone grocery shopping. I do think that I stuck to it pretty well though.

1st Day of a New Lifestyle

So my husband is probably the only one who knows that I've done a LOT of talking about getting in shape, a lot of research, and a lot of things that contradicted what I was striving for. I'm hoping that this blog will help keep me accountable to myself and to any potential readers. I bought the Tone It Up diet plan a few *months* ago and was doing great with it for a few weeks. Then little things came up with work and school and I let myself eat a little more fast food and junk food. This obviously kept me from any progress and was discouraging. Why do we allow those things to happen when we're in charge of what we eat and do for exercise? This blog is definitely one of my first steps to a better me. Thanks for reading!! :)
